VAC (valve anti cheat)
Ik heb een tijdje geleden Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 gekocht en met veel plezier kunnen spelen. Maar nu wilde ik het spel weer gaan spelen en wat blijkt. Heeft VAC (het anti-cheat programma van steam) mijn account geband van multiplayer... Ik heb in dit spel NOOIT gecheat maar ben wel geband. Nu heb ik zelf al een mailtje naar steam support toe gestuurd om te vragen waarom ze me hebben geband en dan krijg ik de volgende reactie terug. Mijn vraag:

I have bought my copy of MW2 in a local store, played the game online for some time and now I am banned from the multiplayer part of the game by VAC... My question is simple: Why am i banned??? I have NOT used any cheats or hacks in modern warfare 2 and I am very dissapointed for the fact I am banned. The game was pretty expensive and now I am not able to play online anymore, The multiplayer was the reason I bought this game.
I really wanna know why you have banned me, I really have no idea why you did that... Plz tell me why... En dan het antwoord dat ik hierop kreeg:

Our system indicates that the account has been permanently banned by the Valve Anti-Cheat system (VAC) for the game Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 - Steam support is unable lift the ban. We will not disclose the cheats which were detected, nor will we provide the date and time the infraction took place. VAC has confirmed that the ban on the account was applied legitimately. This ban applies to a Steam account (regardless of who was using the account at the time the infraction occurred) and any version of Modern Warfare 2 registered under the account at the time of the ban. The use and security of the Steam account is your responsibility. This ban does not affect other titles on the account. The account may still be used to play the single-player campaign and to create your own Private Match in Multiplayer. We cannot move game subscriptions from accounts which have been banned by VAC. If you choose to purchase a new copy of this game, please create a new Steam account to register the game to. Remove all cheats from your system before you install (if you do not know where the cheats were installed, you may want to consider reformatting the machine and starting over with a new installation of your operating system). Ik ben hier echt heel erg teleurgesteld over. Vooral omdat ze mij ook niet willen vertellen wat ik dan heb misdaan, wat ik volgens mij niet heb gedaan. En daarbij zou ik graag willen weten of jullie mij hierbij zouden kunnen helpen.
